Relocation.ge is an independent, non-commercial, open-source project that helps people relocate to Georgia with confidence. We make relocation simpler by providing accurate, transparent and continuously updated information about living, working, investing and doing business in Georgia — and we believe access to that information should not depend on language or personal connections.

Why we created Relocation.ge

Relocating to another country is one of the most significant decisions a person or family can make. It touches immigration, taxation, banking, healthcare, education, real estate and company formation — topics that change often, and whose guidance is scattered across dozens of websites, social-media groups and unofficial sources that quickly go out of date.

Rather than operating as a relocation agency selling a service, we build an open, non-commercial knowledge base that brings verified, source-based guidance into one place, with the aim of removing uncertainty from relocating to Georgia. We want to be one of the most reliable sources of relocation knowledge for the country, useful to individuals, families, entrepreneurs, investors, remote professionals and companies alike. Editorial standards

Our content follows a structured editorial process. Whenever possible, information is reviewed against official government legislation, public regulations, government agencies and official statistics, with input from professional legal and tax experts and independent editorial review. Our long-term objective is to maintain high editorial standards among relocation platforms and to continuously improve our review process.

More than information

Relocation.ge is not only a library of articles — we are building practical infrastructure that supports every stage of relocation. Our knowledge base covers immigration and visas, residence permits, business registration, banking, taxation, healthcare, education, real estate, employment, insurance and everyday life in Georgia.

Over time, we aim to complement educational content with practical, open tools that simplify relocation from beginning to end — including a machine-readable llms.txt so that people, advisers and AI assistants can rely on the same source-based information.

In the media

In 2022, Relocation.ge launched an initiative to help Ukrainian citizens in Georgia connect with people offering housing, medical care and material support. The project was reported on by Georgian and international media, and referenced by international organisations and research on the response in Georgia.

Relocation.ge is a non-commercial, open-source project. That independence is what lets us state things plainly — including the inconvenient parts — and answer to our readers rather than to advertisers or partners.

Because the project is open, its content and structure are built to be verified, reused and improved. Every guide links to the primary source it is based on, so you are never more than one click away from the underlying law or regulation.

To be precise about what “open-source” means here: the software that runs Relocation.ge — the site engine, tools and scripts — is released under the AGPL-3.0 licence, so anyone can inspect, run and build on it. The content — the guide text and datasets — is a separate matter, published under our Use of Materials terms rather than an open-content licence. Open code, clearly-licensed content.
